Due to the ongoing COVID-19 circumstances around the world, ISMIS 2022 will be a hybrid conference: in presence participation to the conference is welcomed, but it is also possible to attend it virtually.

Conference costs

The In-Person registration cost includes the following items:

  • Participation to all sessions of all tracks and all events
  • Lunches and coffee breaks
  • Ticket to the Welcome Reception and Conference Gala
  • Conference material
  • Transfers from the Hotels to the conference venue (and vice versa)

The online registration cost includes remote participation to all sessions of all tracks of the conference via Zoom (links will be provided in the next)

The costs for accompanying persons include:

  • Lunches
  • Ticket to the Welcome Reception and Conference Gala

Code of Conduct

  • All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
  • The Organiser of the ISMIS 2022 reserve the right to remove from the conference at any time any attendee deemed to be causing, or potentially causing, a disturbance or exhibiting disruptive or inappropriate behaviour. Such removal does not constitute a right to refund of any fees paid.
  • We do not tolerate any discrimination or harassment based on gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, cultural and social background, age, physical appearance, or disability. We do not tolerate unwelcome physical contact or sexual advances. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue.
  • For the 2022 hybrid event, we adopt the following rules:
    • Register and participate in on-line discussions must use your full name, rather than abbreviations or nick names. Your login is your conference badge. Use your academic/professional email to register – this will help us to limit impersonation attempts.
    • Be extra kind to others when communicating online. Sadly, an on-line conversation, even with a video, carries much less context than face-to-face interactions.
    • Do not record talks. Recording without consent is a violation of the privacy regulations. If possible, we will provide links to recordings of all talks (that consent to do so) on the conference webpage.

Conditions of Use

  • Each accepted paper must be presented by at least one author, otherwise, the paper will be removed from the conference proceedings and program.
  • Each accepted paper must have at least one full registration for it to be included in the proceedings.
  • Authors presenting remotely should register as if they were presenting in person, and they must be online for the duration of the session in which their presentations are planned.
  • To be eligible for the student discount, you must have been a student on an accredited institute the day of the submission deadline. Documentation proving registered student status (student’s ID Card or a letter from the Head of Department/Director of Doctoral School prepared on the notepaper of the institution) should be sent to: ismis2022@icar.cnr.it
  • Cancellations received before the 5th of September will be returned in full, minus a 20% administrative charge. Cancellations made after this date will not be refunded. Refunds will handled after the conclusion of the meeting.
  • Due to space limitations in the Proceedings, the camera-ready versions of accepted papers are limited to 10 pages for Regular Papers and 8 pages for Short Paper. If absolutely needed, the number of pages may be increased up to a maximum of 12 (Regular Papers) and 9 (Short Papers). However, for each extra page, the author will have to pay an additional fee of 100 EUR.
